About the workshop:

Create a stained glass piece of art!

There are over 30 patterns to choose from, each with 7 to 10 pieces of glass.

 

Using the copper foil method, I will teach you to:

• score and break glass
• grind glass to fit the pattern
• foil and burnish the pieces
• solder the pieces together
• clean and polish the final piece

 

By the end of the workshop, you will come away with a finished piece, an appreciation for glass, and an introduction to the skills required if you decide to take up glass art.

Some admin info:

• The workshop is for 6 hours, split across two days in the same week (3 hours on each day). 
• You can choose between a morning (9am - 12noon) or evening session (6pm - 9pm).
• The price (including all supplies) is $180 per person.

  • Fees must be paid 48 hrs before your scheduled session.
• Please bring your own water bottle.
• For your safety, you will be required to wear running shoes (no open toed footwear)
• If you have long hair, please bring a hair tie.
• You may bring your own safety glasses if you prefer (they will also be provided).
• Please remember to bring your reading glasses, as the detailed work of foiling and soldering requires precision and focus.
• Be prepared to stand for the majority of the class.
